Plate Tectonics: StopMotion Animation (Day 2 of 2)

QUICK VIEW

  • CW/HW: Make StopMotion Animation parts for (1) divergent, (2) convergent, (3) subduction, and (4) transform boundaries. Due Monday, 1/6, via Google Classroom.

  • DN: Continue working on stop-motion animation.

LESSON OUTLINE

5min Students complete the Do Now by following directions.

30min Students finish Plate Tectonics StopMotion Animation that includes scenes (1) Showing divergent plates and convection currents in the magma/mantle. (2) Showing a mountain forming where convergent plates meet with corresponding currents in the magma/mantle. (3) Showing an active volcano at convergent boundary with subduction and convection corresponding currents in the magma/mantle. (4) An aerial view of a transform plate boundary.

5min Turn in animation via Google Classroom.
