10min Chemicals in Food Activity. Separate into ‘healthy’ and ‘not healthy,’ then ‘chemicals’ and ‘no chemicals,’ and then ‘has atoms/molecules’ and ‘no atoms/molecules.’

10min Chemicals in Food CER. (A=Food; B=Atoms/Molecules; C=Chemicals) SKIPPED FOR TIME.

20min Valentine Cards. Students use the periodic table to create a Valentine’s message on the cover of the card using the names or atomic numbers only. Example (Do not copy): Uranium, Copper, Tellurium (on cover) and U CuTe (inside card).

5min Collect materials. Clean up. Wrap up.
